We cover all aspects of external rendering

Traditional Lime Work on Period Properties

Depending on the construction of the wall make up of the building we can offer a variety of NHL products to suit your requirements. We carry out all forms of external traditional plastering including:

  • 3 Coat haired render to masonry/stonework
  • 2 Coat haired render to masonry/stonework
  • All other finishes accommodated for i.e. medium sponged finish, rough sponged rustic finish, smooth trowelled finish

Traditional Render

A sand and cement mortar mix that is applied to the walls which is then trowelled up flat, floated with a sponge finish, ready for decorating

Flat Render Systems

Using a high polymer base coat and alkaline resistant glass fibre mesh with a top coat sponged, finished with a silicone paint that has a palette of over 65000+ colours. No metal is used in these systems to eliminate any future rust spots that traditional sand and cement renders used to suffer from.

Render Finishes

We can provide a ‘Tyrolene finish’, meaning that the end result will have a weathered, heavily textured look, similar to pebble dash. We can also apply a Hand Scat finish which was more commonly used on period properties.

Other finishes are available on request.  We can provide all decorative finishes on our render.

Insulated Render/External Wall Insulation

EPS Insulation board is wet and mechanically fixed to the wall and then a high polymer render base coat is applied with an embedded alkaline resistant glass fibre mesh, for added strength and crack resistance.

A second coat of high polymer render is then applied over the first coat and left flat in preparation of the coloured top coat. A coloured silicone top coat, is then spray or hand applied once the base coat is fully dry to an even and consistent finish.

Silicone Coloured Render

Silicone render can be applied on top of External Wall Insulation or straight onto brickwork or blockwork  A Base coat of high polymer render is applied with an embedded alkaline resistant glass fibre mesh. The mesh adds strength and crack resistance to the base coat helping maintain longevity.

It is fully waterproof and breathable. The coloured silicone top coat is then sprayed or hand applied applied to an even and consistent finish and will never need painting. It can be cleaned with a jet wash to help maintain a fresh look and keep maintenance to a minimum.
